2006 has been a phenomenal year for Motor. Not only did they unleash their debut album, Klunk, on the back of their ‘Stuka Stunt’, ‘Sweatbox’ and ‘Black Powder’ singles, but their live show as a travelling three piece has torn up clubs, gigs and festivals the world over. Now Mr. No and Bryan Black are set to climb back into the ring, with two new interpretations of tracks from their debut album. ‘1x1’ matches the MOTOR production duo with the voice of one of industrial music's most seminal acts. Douglas McCarthy is Nitzer Ebb's energetic, stage prowling front man and on '1x1' he injects his demonic delivery with customary verve whilst Ireland's Phil Kieran adds a bowl wobbling bassline of a remix to nail it firmly to the floor. 'King Of U.S.A.' has become one of Motor's biggest tracks when playing out live so it's no surprise that they wanted to give it a bit more of a club road test. Here acid house king and DJ Hell producer Abe Duque gives the track an electro-house makeover with rolling drum machine breaks and dark atmospherics to complete a superb doubled-headed package.
